In a life; diaper cotton, velvet princess dress
tights
itchy wool socks
Graduation chiffon

Torn wedding dress or dresses
support hose, satin pillows winding shroud.
Faded, overwashed dreams
Burlap hard times
Ephemeral art
patched and repatched
into new lives
female art
Until it too wears out
and is added
to the new quilt.
